Riverside Liquors and Village Wine Shop was established in 1966 by Bob Merendino. Developing a strong local following, his loyal fan base supported his Bar and Package store until it's (The Bar's) closing in 1985. He is a local legend and a friendly face to rely on when you enter our doors. Bob was a certified Sommelier before it was fashionable. His breadth of knowledge extends from his 40 plus years in the Wine and Spirits Trade.

    Just shortly after the tragedy of 9/11, with national pride and confidence, David Joudi took over the operations and is a major force to be reckoned with today. With 25 years in the wholesale field, Joudi is aggressive in his buying strategies, yet passes it all on to his guests. The Bar has now reopened and the atmosphere is as informal as it should be.
